John was ordained at the Calvary Presbyterian Church at Charlotte, North Carolina on 3/20/88.  The church was an independent church that practiced believer’s baptism by immersion.

Since joining our church, John pursued recognition of his ordination by the North American Baptist Conference.  He met with our Association’s credentialing committee this fall.  We reviewed his ordination paper and questioned him to discern his character and his calling and found him consistent with NAB doctrine and worthy of recognition as an NAB minister of the Gospel.

We sent copies of the minutes of our meeting to the NAB International office and they issued this certificate signed by the interim Executive Director, Dr. Gordon Harris and the Regional Minister, Dr. Charles Worley.  This recognition may be helpful to John as he pursues his ministry as chaplain of the State Training School.  We are pleased to have him representing our congregation and our conference as an ambassador for Christ.
