Encouraging Everyone to Follow Jesus Further

One of the 2023 goals for the Evangelism Team is: Develop a plan to connect with and encourage the law enforcement agencies within our region. Knowing the stress and pressure that these men and women face every day on the job, compelled our team to do something that would encourage each one of them.  It was our desire to let them know that the members of Steamboat Rock Baptist Church appreciate all that they do to protect us and that we want to encourage them.  With that in mind, we concentrated on the Hardin, Grundy, and Franklin Counties Sheriff and their deputies.  On behalf of SRBC, the Evangelism Team delivered a package to each of the sheriffs and their deputies that included the following items:

·         A Bible designed specifically for law enforcement officers

·         A $50 gift certificate to Red’s Smokehouse in Iowa Falls

·         Two free passes to a movie at the Met Theater in Iowa Falls

·         A card with the church’s telephone number in case they needed to visit with a pastor

·         A letter of appreciation, thanks, and encouragement

Red’s Smokehouse was excited to partner with us on this project and contributed $20 for each of the gift certificates.

These gift packages were given to the following:

·         Hardin County—Sheriff Dave McDaniel and his 9 deputies.

·         Grundy County—Sheriff Kirk Dolleslager and his 11 deputies.

·         Franklin County—Sheriff Aaron Dodd and his 7 deputies.

As you get the opportunity, be sure to show your appreciation to the men and women that protect us and serve those in our communities.

Therefore encourage one anther and build each other up, just as in fact your are doing.
